Gareth Brandt cycles to work every day in Abbotsford, BC where he teaches practical theology at Columbia Bible College. His educational background includes degrees in spirituality, theology and psychology with an emphasis on the spiritual formation of young adults. He has a background in congregational and denominational youth ministry.
Gareth is married to Cynthia, an elementary school teacher, and they have four children ages 19, 17, 15, and 8. They are active members of Emmanuel Mennonite Church in Abbotsford, BC. The family enjoys participating in music, drama and other creative pursuits. Gareth was born in Steinbach, Manitoba and grew up on a small farm in western Manitoba.
Gareth has been writing poetry since he was a teenager and has published various articles in journals and magazines but this is his first book on a subject he never thought he’d write about! He is passionate about helping people to discover, articulate and develop their personal spirituality.
